H Lounge Chair

With the exploration of the mono shell for the Kay Chair, the H Chair is much wider and symetrical from seat to back. The generous proportions work well for the active sitter, as you will find many ways to sit and interact with the chair. The upholstery fabric is a Boucle from Glant Textiles and the frame is stainless steel. This is just one in a series including a dining chair.

Loring Green Lobby Tables

Molecule Cocktail Table

The Molecule Cocktail table came from the exploration with more vinyl billboard and imagery. The form is molded plywood then skinned then clear coated. The size is 42” diameter and 17” tall, stainless steel legs. I have a variety of new work based on this form to be posted soon.

Once again I have gone far too long without an update; I will start with huge thanks to my assistant Melissa Apter; a rising star in the making. She comes to me via Florida, a graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design. (http://www.ringling.edu/) With a BFA in sculpture, she has been with me since July 2010 and has assisted in every aspect at SOLV from prototyping, concepting, to fabrication. In addition to working with me I require her to work on her own projects in the studio, we spend time talking about what decisions she is making and why. This delightful young lady will make a great product/industrial designer in the very near future, she brings a youthful and fun quality to her work.
